Is it true, that tv in the UK, is just as crooked and fake, as it is here, in the US?

I heard on the news last night, that Susan Boyle, that lovely lady who "knocked them on their "keester’s" with her voice, lost to an act that looks like a bunch of clowns.
(In the news clips I saw, they looked like a bunch of organ grinder monkeys, that had too much coffee.)
I ask, what’s wrong with this picture ?
Susan is a 48 year old lady, that has never been married, and by some standards, has no "tv face", or body, but yet, she can cause an entire continent (world ?) to stand tall.
Yet, she loses a "contest" to a bunch of 12, 13, and 14 year old KID’S !
Is tv in the UK as vain and phony as it is here, or do they really don’t care about setting a "higher standard" of entertainment ?
I personally hope Susan goes on to a successfule career, and I look forward to hearing more about her.
Good morning ndnquah,, thank you for your support, but let me TRY to answer "Broken-cy",,,it seems that he’s a bit lost.
Brokency, would it have helped you understand my question, if I used smaller words?
Your reply is absurd, so I will ignore the first and third sentence, and only direct my reply to your second sentence.
The "POINT" of my question was NOT Susan’s "look", but how slanted the judging went AGAINST HER.
A month ago, she almost put the internet out of business as a result of her coming out of the shadows, and singing her heart out.
I for one, never heard of the group that "won", and probably never will again.
How tragic, what a loss.
What did you say their name was ?
I think the "judges" had a "biased opinion" against her, because of her age (48) and her "un-tv" like appearance, and as a result, were disciminating in their "judgemnet".
Again, my friend, just like American tv, British tv is A FAKE AND A FRAUD !

There you go,,,simple enough fo you ??
Oh, by the way, Simon says that Bull-Shot" to ALL the ones that are half way talented.
Did you hear what he said to Susan a few weeks ago when she first sang ?
You would have thought he was "getting it on" like some sixteen year old, doing the "horizontal rhumba" with a cheerleader, in the back seat of his dads Chevy.
Him and Pers, broke their back’s climbing over the chairs to sign her up on a contract…

I think it is all to do with money. The Bookmakers were taking lots of money in bets, and if Susan, had won they would be wiped out.

It is just the favourite in the Grand National, too much money in bets on the favourite, an outsider at 60 to 1 wins, money corrups.

What is the best way to make coffee from unground beans?

Yes, I do have a bean grinder, lest ye attempt to answer a question with a question. But I remember this one time when I had coffee made from whole beans, and it was the strongest coffee I had (and have) ever tasted. How can I make such a coffee at home with a standard coffee maker?

You have to grind the beans if you plan on using a standard coffee maker.

If you want the coffee stronger, add more grounds than you normally would.

Can I grind walnuts in a coffee grinder?

I want to make a Greek semolina cake that uses ground walnuts. I don’t have a food processor but I do have a good coffee grinder with different settings. (I tried using my blender but it didn’t work well.) I don’t want to break the grinder. Will my coffee taste like walnuts for months afterwards?

You can chop most anything in the coffee grinder if it is dry enough. Yes, you can chop your nuts in the coffee grinder if you want. I would suggest that you run some dry bread through the grinder to clean out the residue of the coffee beans first and then afterward.

I have an old tiny hand grinder that clamps to the cabinet that I run nuts through for things like that. Find these at 2nd hand stores, antiques stores, and some kitchen shoppes. I know they can be found at the Amish Connection stores.

What is the best brand and model coffee maker?

I’d like to pay around $100. I wouldn’t mind a bean grinder but that feature is not a necessity. I like coffee strong and hot. I like to make 4 to 6 cups at a time.

Cuisinart Grind and Brew. It makes awesome coffee and it has an adjustable heat setting where I only need to keep it one above the middle and that is plenty hot. Also has a special setting if brewing 1-4 cups so it will brew stronger. Def. the best one I have ever had.
