I heard on the news last night, that Susan Boyle, that lovely lady who "knocked them on their "keester’s" with her voice, lost to an act that looks like a bunch of clowns.
(In the news clips I saw, they looked like a bunch of organ grinder monkeys, that had too much coffee.)
I ask, what’s wrong with this picture ?
Susan is a 48 year old lady, that has never been married, and by some standards, has no "tv face", or body, but yet, she can cause an entire continent (world ?) to stand tall.
Yet, she loses a "contest" to a bunch of 12, 13, and 14 year old KID’S !
Is tv in the UK as vain and phony as it is here, or do they really don’t care about setting a "higher standard" of entertainment ?
I personally hope Susan goes on to a successfule career, and I look forward to hearing more about her.

The "POINT" of my question was NOT Susan’s "look", but how slanted the judging went AGAINST HER.
A month ago, she almost put the internet out of business as a result of her coming out of the shadows, and singing her heart out.
I for one, never heard of the group that "won", and probably never will again.

I think the "judges" had a "biased opinion" against her, because of her age (48) and her "un-tv" like appearance, and as a result, were disciminating in their "judgemnet".

It is just the favourite in the Grand National, too much money in bets on the favourite, an outsider at 60 to 1 wins, money corrups.

I believe the kids you are referring to are Diversity. They were absolutely fantastic and if you have not watched the full clip, then you will not see just how incredible they are.
Personally I believe that the reason why Susan Boyle got less votes is because she is a singing act. We already have a show for singing (similar to American Idol). The winner of BGT gets to perform at the VARIETY show. Singing does not have as much variety as the dance act Diversity.
Susan Boyle was very gracious at her defeat and admitted that the amazing choreographed were the better act. Britain voted for the best act.

It’ll take a few days, but I reckon people’ll be asking "What was the name of those guys???" but I bet they’ll still know who Susan Boyle is.
I think TV in this country has been of marginal quality – but in the past 10 years seems to be yearning to be just like the c*r*a*p on US TV. Particularly our ITV channels – which seems to be of scarily poor quality. It’s driven by advertising, and they are having serious problems drawing an audience.
The credibility of that "game show" is seriously in doubt, questions will continue about who called supporting what. Susan is a quality act. She had a massive following worldwide. SHE STILL HAS.
Perhaps there will be an album in the planning, if there were – she’s easy money – coz it would probably blast straight out of the doors of any shop or download site. (Now we get into the credibility of the pop charts here – HAH!)

Firstly, they weren’t "12, 13 and 14 year old kids" as you call them. Diversity were a dance act consisting of brothers and friends who were all full-grown men apart from the two young boys. If you’d actually bothered to watch them instead of just watching short news clips and judging on appearance, you’d see that the choreographing designed by the leader of the pack was simply fantastic, and were simply out of all other contestants league’s on the night. It was unique.
I also can’t understand your point you’re making about Susan; first you criticize her appearance but then say despite that she’s amazing…you do know that it’s not just people who are models can sing, right?
If you are still too stubborn to continue calling the UK "crooked and fake", then answer to Simon Cowell who described Diversity as the only act who he would rate a 10 that night.

Not sure if it’s fake or not. I liked the dance troop that won, I also liked Susan. She will do very nicely out of the show in the future I think as there is no way she will just be forgotten., record deals, guest appearances ect ect. The boys must have worked their socks off to be so precise in all their movements I enjoyed it, it takes courage to be different.

Don’t really know the answer to your question but I do know the lady has a wonderful voice and I will buy any record that she puts out. True talent and she will go far.
