Is it true, that tv in the UK, is just as crooked and fake, as it is here, in the US?

I heard on the news last night, that Susan Boyle, that lovely lady who "knocked them on their "keester’s" with her voice, lost to an act that looks like a bunch of clowns.
(In the news clips I saw, they looked like a bunch of organ grinder monkeys, that had too much coffee.)
I ask, what’s wrong with this picture ?
Susan is a 48 year old lady, that has never been married, and by some standards, has no "tv face", or body, but yet, she can cause an entire continent (world ?) to stand tall.
Yet, she loses a "contest" to a bunch of 12, 13, and 14 year old KID’S !
Is tv in the UK as vain and phony as it is here, or do they really don’t care about setting a "higher standard" of entertainment ?
I personally hope Susan goes on to a successfule career, and I look forward to hearing more about her.

Your reply is absurd, so I will ignore the first and third sentence, and only direct my reply to your second sentence.
The "POINT" of my question was NOT Susan’s "look", but how slanted the judging went AGAINST HER.
A month ago, she almost put the internet out of business as a result of her coming out of the shadows, and singing her heart out.
I for one, never heard of the group that "won", and probably never will again.
How tragic, what a loss.

I think the "judges" had a "biased opinion" against her, because of her age (48) and her "un-tv" like appearance, and as a result, were disciminating in their "judgemnet".
Again, my friend, just like American tv, British tv is A FAKE AND A FRAUD !

You would have thought he was "getting it on" like some sixteen year old, doing the "horizontal rhumba" with a cheerleader, in the back seat of his dads Chevy.
Him and Pers, broke their back’s climbing over the chairs to sign her up on a contract…

I think it is all to do with money. The Bookmakers were taking lots of money in bets, and if Susan, had won they would be wiped out.

It is just the favourite in the Grand National, too much money in bets on the favourite, an outsider at 60 to 1 wins, money corrups.

Restaurant Syriana, a restaurant with a Syrian – Lebanese kitchen.
A new term in the kitchen. The Syrian Lebanese kitchen continues to amaze people, since this for a lot of people an unknown term had been.
The tastes are a class separately, and a new culinary taste maker.
